Respite Weeks
A helper stays for the week, so family carers can have a break.
Family carers rarely get a proper rest, and arranging cover is usually another job on top. A helper stays in the home for a week or two — cooking, shopping, keeping company, and being there overnight — so you can go away knowing someone familiar is in the house. Because the placement is a week rather than an hour, helpers travel for these, so we can often arrange one well outside our usual areas.
What’s included

What Witho does not do
- Provide personal care — washing, bathing, dressing or toileting
- Administer medication (helpers may remind and prompt only)
- Lift, hoist or help someone transfer
- Carry out any nursing or clinical task
- Write or manage a care plan, or give care advice
- Direct or supervise how a helper does their work
Witho is an introductory agency. Your helper is self-employed and works to your instructions, not ours — which is what keeps the arrangement personal, flexible, and far less expensive than a managed agency.
