Support on your terms
You pick the person. You set the rules. It is your support.
Most home support is sold to somebody’s worried daughter. This page is for you. Witho introduces you to local helpers for the practical things that take up your time and energy — the shop, a lift, the paperwork, the housework — and you decide who, when, and how it works.
What is different here
You say what happens
Your helper is self-employed and works to your instructions. There is no care plan written about you by someone who has met you twice, and no agency deciding what you need.
Book it yourself, online
Pick a time from your helper’s calendar and pay by card. No phoning an office in working hours, no waiting for someone to ring back.
The same person each time
Not a rota of strangers. You keep your helper, and you do not have to explain yourself from scratch every week.
No contract, no notice
Book as much or as little as you want. Stop whenever you like. There is no minimum, no subscription and no commitment.
Your helper keeps their rate
Helpers set their own rate from £20 an hour and keep every penny. We add 10% to your total. An agency charges around £30 and pays the worker about £13.
Paying for it
PIP can cover this
Personal Independence Payment is not means-tested and is not taxed. Your savings, your income and whether you work make no difference to it, and it is yours to spend on whatever makes life easier. There is no requirement to spend it on care and nobody checks.
At 2026/27 rates, here is roughly what that buys at £22 an hour:
Daily living, standard — £76.70 a weekabout 3½ hours
Daily living, enhanced — £114.60 a weekjust over 5 hours
Both components, enhanced — £194.60 a weekclose to 9 hours

Being straight with you
Witho helpers provide practical support. They do not do personal care — no help with washing, dressing or the toilet, no medication given to you, no transfers. That is regulated care and it needs a registered provider.
If you need both, plenty of people use a registered agency for the personal care and a Witho helper for everything else. We are happy to be part of a wider arrangement rather than all of it.
