Helper terms
Witho Ltd · Last updated 12 June 2026
These terms apply to helpers registered with Witho. They sit alongside our terms of use and safeguarding policy.
Your status
You are self-employed. You are not an employee, worker, or agent of Witho. You decide which introductions to accept and how you arrange sessions with families. You are responsible for your own tax, National Insurance, and appropriate insurance (public liability insurance is required before introductions begin).
What you receive
The standard rate is £20 per hour and the full £20 is yours. Witho takes no commission and charges you no fee.
Vetting and keeping it current
Before introductions you must complete identity, right-to-work, reference, and DBS checks and an interview. You must tell us promptly about anything that would change the outcome of those checks — including any caution, charge, or conviction arising after registration.
Boundaries
Witho introductions are for practical day-to-day support only. You must not provide personal care (washing, dressing, toileting), administer medication, or provide nursing or clinical care. You must not accept gifts beyond small tokens, loans, or any role in a client’s will or finances; money handled for shopping must be receipted. Concerns about a client’s welfare must be reported to safeguarding@witho.co.uk.
Ending the relationship
Either of us can end your registration at any time. We will pause or end introductions immediately where vetting, boundaries, or safeguarding standards are not met.
