Before you register

Is this care work?

No. Helpers do support visits, such as shopping, errands, lifts and company. There's no personal care, no medication and no helping anyone move.

What does it cost me?

Nothing goes to Witho. You pay for your own DBS check (about £23, paid to the checking service) and the Update Service. If you drive clients, you'll need business-use car insurance.

Am I employed by Witho?

No. You're self-employed, so you register with HMRC and look after your own tax and National Insurance.

What checks happen before I start?

We check your DBS, ID, right to work and address. We also take two references and have a short interview with you.
